Heading Home!

In less than 24 hours I will be on my flight headed back to the states for a month's long vacation! After a stopover in Mexico City I'll spend a few days in Chicago catching up with one of my past roommates (Amanda) and possibly a couple past Finca missionaries (Betsy and Amanda)who live in/around the city. Then we'll spend Thursday busing it back to the Twin Cities. Friday morning I get to go see the amazing Sarah Keller and her newest little addition :) Also waiting for me at her house is my car. I am very much looking forward to driving again. Friday night is a Twins Indians game. Saturday I'll be heading back to my old high school to check out the community theatre play Peter Pan that my Dad and friends have been working on. Sunday is our church festival. After all that I'll need a few days to decompress... hopefully hanging out with Sarah and her little boys. Also on the "vacation" docket is a baby shower for my beautiful cousin Sarah, and on the same day on the other side of the family is a get-together on my Dad's side of the family to meet my cousin's (Michael) fiance for the first time. Speaking of fiance's and meeting people... I will also get to meet my brother's fiance (Amelia) for the first time. A bit further into vacation will be pleanty of time spent catching up with people in and around Fargo-Moorhead, Bismarck and Minot as well as in Austin and Rochester. Somewhere in all this I will hopefully do some fundraising... I still need a few thousand dollars and am looking for financial donations for a couple larger events I'd like to make happen with the kiddos here. Before I blink it will be back to the around-the-clock life back here. I very much want to catch up with as many people as possible, but will have to find the right balance of some quiet time as well. I sort of expect a bit of culture shock coming back. I'm not really sure how I'll be able to encapsulate a year spent living here so please be patient and understanding that there will be some things I can't share and other things I may not be able to put into sufficient words. Thank you all for your continued love and support! Pray for everyone here in Honduras especially our kids.

Love,

Katherine

P.S. -- I promise to post lots of pictures and stories here in the coming weeks during vacation.

P.P.S. I leave the states again Aug. 14th
